Our Easter festivities started out with egg coloring by me and the girls. They sat, patiently, waiting for the eggs to soak. I think the most fun for them was to put the tiny stickers on the eggs when they were dry.
We went to a huge egg hunt on Saturday. It was very interesting to see how the girls differ in their egg gathering skills. As soon as the start siren sounded, Addison went full speed into picking up eggs and throwing them into her basket. A true race. Mackenzie, on the other hand, walked methotically through the field, picking up eggs and shaking each one to see if there was something really inside. A true representation of their personalities - Addison, a our happy-go-lucky, no-worries type, and Mackenzie, our deep thinker, curious and skeptical.
On Easter Sunday, we had Grams and some friends over for an egg hunt in our backyard. It was a beautiful day and the girls looked so cute in their dresses. Rolling around on the patio and yard in white dresses was perfect. Just as little girls should do.
